As Dr. Martens teams around the world mark Pride, we’ve been teaming up to bring Dr. Martens Foundation charity partners, and the communities they support, into the heart of the celebrations. This year’s community giveback activity is one of the ways we’re doing that.
Across Dr. Martens offices and stores, employees have been writing heartfelt messages of support to LGBTQIA+ people across the world facing isolation and marginalisation.
In the UK, these messages are being delivered to LGBTQIA+ refugees supported by our partner Micro Rainbow, whose safe houses offer a vital refuge for people forced to flee persecution simply for being who they are.
Over in France, teams have been reaching across generations – writing to older LGBTQIA+ individuals supported by Les Audacieuses & Les Audacieux, a charity helping people reconnect with community and visibility later in life. For many, it’s a rare and meaningful show of recognition.
