This programme area is dedicated to helping people discover and develop the skills, connections and confidence to keep evolving.
We recognise that who you are right now might not match up to the version of yourself that you want to be. For many people, this gap exists because they’re not sure what steps to take or can’t access the pathways that will take them there.
By providing opportunities to upskill, make new connections and embrace their strengths, more people will be empowered to unlock their potential.
And the result isn’t just more individuals stepping into who they can be, but ripples of possibility that lift up the communities around them too.
Backing initiatives that:
01
Provide mentorship, counselling and peer-support that gives people the confidence and self-esteem to move forward.
02
Open up new routes for people to unlock their potential through training, networks and real-world experience.
Uplifting Through Progression
What it looks like in action with Back on My Feet

Homelessness doesn’t just take away stability – it strips people of their connection, routines, and belief in what’s possible. When those things disappear, people lose sight of who they can become, and the steps that will get them there.
Turning this around takes more than just finding shelter, but often support for people experiencing homelessness stops there. By teaming up with Back On My Feet, we’ve helped supercharge an approach that goes much further.
It starts with an early morning run club where movement becomes momentum. With every run, members build up their self-esteem, structure, stamina and a brand new community to take each step alongside them.
From there, the programme moves beyond the track. With a more stable foundation in place, members can make the most of practical tools – like coaching, interview practice and financial literacy workshops – and use them to take back control of their futures.
